Dreams and Teams is originally a British Council initiative that is now introduced in more than 30 countries around the world. The project aims at promoting and developing leadership abilities of young people through various games and sports competitions.
In 2004 the project was started in Bulgaria as well, in cooperation with the British Sports Trust and the National Youth and Sports Agency.
The Bulgarian team added a new objective to the international image of the project: that was the first time that disabled persons were invited to actively get involved in the events. They took part both in the sports games as participants and in the work on organising and supervising the events as a part of the young leaders’ team.
